So, if you haven't had time yet to check out the retiring list (see post on 10/26)...you wouldn't know that almost all the paper packs are being retired. They are only keeping 4 packs for next year! Halloween Gifts ~ Box of "Beary Busy ~ Life is Sweet" Raisins and a Pencil

Well, I posted the cute gifts we made for my children's classrooms. Then I thought I should put a little something together for their teachers. In the photo I showed one done and next to it what is inside. A Halloween pencil and a box of raisins with a cute "Life Is Sweet" cover. (I love this "Beary Busy" stamp set (C1409)...even if its not for Halloween. Its the same set I used to make my 5x8 writing pads covers...see post on Sept. 8th) I hope the teachers like their little gifts. I think they came out cute.

Halloween Pencil Gifts ~ Autumn Terracotta Paper and Beware Stamp Set

Today we worked on my daughter's classmate's gifts for Halloween. We got them pencils...wanted to keep it healthy and something they could use. We also had to keep it simple since we had 35 of them to make (plus a few extras for her friends not in her class). We used "Autumn Terracotta" paper (1270 or X5684 / X5689 if you want the combo packs) and "Beware" stamp set (D1381). I think they came out really cute! Let me know what you think?!

Entrecard Contest

I decided to go off the scrapbooking / stamping path today...I have, if you didn't notice, a spot on my blog for a link to other blogs using "Entrecard". They are having a contest (check here for all the info.) so I thought I would follow the rules and add a review. I haven't been doing a blog for long but have been using Entrecard since I started my blog. I have to say, so far, its been a help. I have had people looking at my blog that may not have found it if they didn't use Entrecard. Half my "followers" came from people looking at my blog using Entrecard. I have also found a few blogs that I am enjoying that I know I only found using Entrecard. So, in my book, its worth checking out and using. The only "con" with using Entrecard I have found so far is that it takes time to go through the other blogs and I am disappointed when I find that the blog isn't being kept up and the posts are old...without new posts, some for a long time. Also, some of the blogs don't have a spot for an ad link either. Otherwise, I think there are more pluses then negs. So, if you have a blog...go check them out!

Halloween Coloring Books ~ Hooligans Paper, Merry Monsters and Creepy Cobwebs Stamp Sets

Ok, so today my children and I worked on a Halloween project for my son's kindy class. We wanted to do something fun that didn't include candy...since there are 25 kids in the class, and I figured if each one brings in even 1 piece of candy...just too much candy...so we stayed away from that. We kept it simple too...didn't want my son to feel like only mom did the project. His sister helped us too...and it will be returned when we help her to make something for her class. So, we made "Merry Monster" coloring books. (we stamped one of each of the monsters...you just can't see them in the 1st photo) We used "Hooligans" paper (X7129B), the Merry Monsters stamp set (B1333) and Creep Cobwebs stamp set (D1319). I think the little gifts came out cute! Let me know what you think?!

Operation Smile

Today I thought I would share with you a company that CTMH helps...with our customers help. It's "Operation Smile". A portion of the proceeds from each My Acrylix stamp set sold is donated to the company, and when you put your order in, you can even help a little more by rounding up on your order. I just love being a consultant for a company that not only sells amazing products but helps others in need. Its a win-win for everyone! So, while your buying your stamp sets feel good knowing your helping someone in need!

Hooligans Paper Pack ~ Not Just For Halloween!

I wanted to show you this picture I got from CTMH...it shows you that you can use "Hooligans" paper pack without making it all about Halloween. Take the monsters out and add a different stamp set. That's what I love about CTMH...change things just a little (without much work) and you have a whole new project done! Gotta love that!

4 1/2" Circle Cards ~ Colonial White or White Daisy

Thought I would show you these cool circle cards you can buy to decorate...incase you don't like the "Around The Holidays Card Kit" I posted about on 10/12...but like circle cards (pg 88). They come in 2 colors Colonial White (Z1352) or White Daisy (Z1353) and there are 12 cards/envelopes in a set. Think of the really cute cards you could make...and they would be just a little different than most of the holiday cards your family and friends would get! It would be fun if your card stood out among all the other cards received! And if you bought (or receive for Free) the October SOTM (pg 108) "Share The Magic" you would be all set to dazzle your loved ones!

My Creations Memory Keeper ~ Storage Box ~ Gift Ideas

We received an email last night that the "My Creations Memory Keeper" storage box (Pg 94, Z1116) is going to be retired at the end of the year (or while supplies last, which very well may be before the end of the year!). I love these boxes so I thought I would share them with you incase you want to buy one (or more). They make great gifts...you can decorate them and fill them with homemade cards. Or you can do what I am doing...I bought two boxes and am working on making them memory keepers for my children. I plan to put into their boxes: the 1st outfit they wore home from the hospital, the little bracelet they wore at the hospital, their 1st pair of shoes, and whatever else I find that won't fit into a scrapbook...and I am not totally done with the boxes...I need to add their names, date of birth, birth info., and, of course, a photo of them as a newborn. Once they are all done they will really be a special gift that I know my children will treasure forever. So, go buy a few and make some beautiful, special gifts for your family or friends!

Judaic Commentary Stamp Set ~ Jewish Holidays or Holiday Commentary

I thought I would post this stamp set for the family and friends who celebrate the Jewish holidays (in my household we do both holidays but not everyone is into Christmas). The stamp set is "Judaic Commentary" (pg. 73 C1380). If you buy the set now it will give you enough time to get your cards all ready for Hanukkah. It's pretty early this year. Or, if your like me, I like to use the saying "Happy Holidays" on my cards and gifts, then you might want to buy the "Holiday Commentary" stamp set. (pg.73 C1379) Either way you can't go wrong!

Gifts ~ Coaster Art ~ Mother's Day

On October 7th post I talked about coaster art and how they make great gifts. Well, I found the photo I took of the Mother's Day gift the daycare baby and I made...so I thought I would show it to you. Helps to see it, just gives you another idea on how you can change the paper and the gift fits whatever theme you need it to.

This is a really cute card set! It's called "Around The Holidays Card Kit" (X8623). It makes 12 cards and its so easy it will take you no time at all to put together. Pivot Point Stapler

Ok, thought I would share another item that I really love (besides liquid glass). Your going to think I'm a bit nuts, but I really do love this item! It's the Pivot Point Stapler (pg 98 Z1009). I use this item alot...not just when I scrapbook either. The head rotates so you have 8 different angles that you can staple. I really do like using this in my daycare...when we make craft projects (so much better than that old boring stapler)...or if a daycare child messes up a book I can staple the page back in without any problems. It just makes my life a little bit easier! You can buy fun color staples and dress up a scrapbook page or card too!! Go check it out and let me know what you think!
Ps. The piece that is kind-of sticking out moves so you can get the angle you need.

Rolling Carryall

Today I thought I would share the Rolling Carryall (Z4202). This bag is great if you go to crops. You can carry a bunch of your supplies and keep it all organized in one spot. It's heavy duty and has a retractable handle. It would also make a great gift if you have a family member that loves to scrapbook or make cards. The company is planning to retire it this year so it's while supplies last and only until the end of the year. So don't wait if you are thinking of buying one do it now!

Coaster Art ~~ Holiday Gift

I made this and thought I would share it before I add my family photos. I love making these...they are so easy to make...and then you add a few photos and you have yourself a nice homemade gift to give to someone. This one I had holiday photos in mind, but I made one for my daycare child's mom for Mother's Day. On her gift I stamped on one of the coasters, left one for her to add a photo, and on the last one I put her daughter's hand print. I couldn't find the photo I took but it gives you an idea. You could also add letters instead of photos...spell out "Joy", "Boo" for Halloween, "Welcome", "family" and add a photo...you get the idea. These are fun to make and are a super cute gift to give!! They would be great for co-worker's office areas. Go check out all the fun paper and embellishments we have and come up with your own ideas!!

Holiday Warmth Stamp Set

I thought with the holidays coming up I would share a stamp set (Holiday Warmth) that I really enjoyed using for cards and gifts last year. This set was a Stamp Of The Month last year, but I guess everyone loved it so much it became available to buy this year in the Idea Book. You can find it on page 46 (D1376). One of the things I love about this set is some of the stamps can be used for winter photos and a few can be used year round (think birthday party photos). I just love when I buy a stamp set that can be used for different types of photos! Change the paper and its a whole new feel to the stamp...I just love that!! Oh, and what I didn't photo is I used the sayings inside the cards! I made some really easy cards to give out...let me know if you would like to set up a card crop and we can get together and make holiday cards together.

Holiday Card

Now is the time to start making holiday cards...so you'll be all ready once the holidays actually get here. Saw this one and thought I would share (you can also look at an older post for other holiday cards). The stamp sets used on this card are Stocking Style (pg 44, C1376) and Ornate Ornaments (pg 46, D1389)...but there are a ton of other sets in the Idea Book if these don't work for you. Go check them out today and let me know what you think? Also, if you want to set a time to have a "card making" gathering let me know and we can get it on the schedule! Check out the October Special (Jump For Joy!) for a GREAT way to get more supplies for free! We can set up a gathering even if your not close to where I live...just ask me how!

Dimensional Elements "Ornaments"

Today I thought I would share the Dimensional Elements "Ornaments" (found on pg 95 Z1337). They are white chipboard shapes...they can be stamped, painted, papered, chalked, glittered...well, you get the idea. They are great if you want to make some ornaments for your tree (or to give as gifts). Also, if you look on pg 21 in the Idea Book you'll see some tips & techniques on how to make them. These would be a fun (inexpensive) project to make with your children too. Each year I love to bake with my children, and while the cookies are in the oven we make a fun holiday project. I think I know what we'll be doing this year! Wanna join us?

Survival Kit Idea ~~ Decorated Can

Today I thought I would share a can that I decorated. I used some bright, fun colors...but you could use any type of paper depending on the use of the can. I love the idea of decorating a can and making it into a fun "Survival Kit" for someone...having a baby, a teacher, your hairdresser...you get the idea. With the holidays coming up soon these would make fun gifts to give out. I found a great website you can go to get "Survival Kit" ideas and then go to my website to buy the paper, stickers, ribbon, and/or stamps. If you start now you can everyone's gift on your list made!
