Have You Tried Studio J Yet?

So today I had an unexpected day off from work...gotta love that, especially when your not sick...and I thought I would play around in Studio J. I did 5 double page layouts. It took me 3-4 hours to do all 5 sets. I did photos that I would normally put on the back burner. You know the ones...where you took them but they aren't for a special reason...except that you want to remember the day or event. More like a day in the life kind of photos. These get pushed to the back since I have so many others that need to get scraped. Well, I decided to do those type of photos today. I think they all came out really cute. Looking forward to getting them when I go to LeaderShare Day in mid October. Anyway, if you haven't checked out Studio J...you should. It is easy to use...also, I've posted a bunch of videos for tips if you want to look at them before you try out Studio J. You can set up an account and try it out for free. Tutorial ~ "On This Day" Stamp Set ~ Make Some Cute Cards And Scrapbook Pages!

Batteries Are Now In The House! ~~Check Out The Dreamin' Scrapbook Pages~~

I was finally able to get some batteries (thanks to my hubby running to the store for me!) to take photos of all the Dreamin' scrapbook pages that I just finished. I used the Dreamin' paper pack and the lovely stickers that go with this paper pack. I did need to add a few pieces of cardstock so I could get 4 sets of scrapbook pages done. I also want to add...that I just love how CTMH has everything match to make it so easy for me to put my pages together. I have soooo many pictures to get scrapbooked that I just love being able to do that without alot of hassle. It makes my heart sing! So, check the pages out (I did cover up the faces with small white papers...just feel the need to be careful with my children) and let me know what you think? I think they came out super cute!

Batteries Don't Want To Work For Me!!!

So, over the weekend I went to a crop and had a fun time hanging out with my scrapbook buddies. I got a bunch of pages done...but when I went to take some photos today the batteries decided to not work. And, because I want to share a few pictures...I can't...no more batteries in the house. So, I've been looking around at other websites to fill in time and I found a cool place to check out and thought I would share it with you guys. Our Electric Was Out For 10 Hours! Crazy huh?!

So, if you haven't heard...the West Coast (Approx. 1.4 million homes/ business customers) lost electricity. It went out around 3:30pm yesterday and our home didn't get back up until 1:45am...yes, 10 hours later! My cell phone was sometimes working, sometimes not. The electric went out from parts of Mexico, parts of California, to parts of AZ. We had grilled chicken by candlelight and then took the dog for a family walk with a flashlight and solar garden light. Kids are off from school today too...which is good since it was hot with no fans or a/c to sleep with. But, we are now back up and running...doing good! The only thing I was really bummed about was I wanted to scrapbook last night and couldn't really do it by candlelight...just not enough light. So, with the excitement going on here I have no artwork to share but I am going to a crop tomorrow so I should have some fun stuff to share next week. So, make sure to check back!

Typeset Thank You Cards ~ Cute Cards!

I thought I would share a few "Thank You" cards I made. I used a few scraps I had from the "Wings" paper pack and a piece from the "Typeset" paper pack. I am planning to use them to thank my children's teachers. We had Back-To-School night last week and I wanted to let them know I appreciated being able to come in to school, in the evening, to see the classrooms and find out what will be going on this school year. I think it's important to give thanks to those in your life. They give of themselves so much all day...and then fit this in too. I thought if they can go the extra step...a "Thank You" is in order. Hopefully they will like the cards.
