Today I wanted to share a few boxes I made using the Cricut "Art Philosophy" Collection (Z1686). You can get the collection for free if you sign up to become a consultant...but you have to do it before the end of month (March...so you only have until tomorrow!!) If this sounds like something you are interested in go HERE for more information. The kit is only $99.00 and you get a ton of amazing products (retail value of over $288)...and that is before getting the Cricut collection! There are also add-on(s) that are at a great discount too. So check out the deal...because it is a super-duper deal! If you decide this is for you go HERE to make it happen!
To make the boxes (along with the Cricut) I used the "Sonoma" paper pack (X7143B) for both boxes. I used "A Little Thanks" (D1444) on the pillow box and "A Sip" on the fries box (A1109). The shape I stamped on for that box is also from the Cricut collection. I also used the "Cocoa Collection" (Z1316) for the ribbon on that box. I made the boxes to give as little gifts. The fries box I put in a package of coffee and plan to put a big cookie in it before giving the box away. The other box will hold some yummy thing too. I love giving little gifts to others to let them know I care. Life is short...gotta let the people around us know they are important to us!

Quote Book ~ Poem To Add To Your Book ~ Just My Dog!
I thought I would do something a little different...I usually do the quotes today to add to your quote book...but I decided today to do a poem instead.
Just My Dog
He's just my dog. He is my other eyes that can see above the clouds; my other ears that hear above the winds. He has told me more than a thousand times over that I am his reason for being -- by the way he rests against my leg, by the way he thumps his tail at my smallest smile, by the way he shows his hurt when I leave without taking him. (I think it makes him sick with worry when he is not along to care for me). When I am wrong, he is delighted to forgive.
When I am angry he clowns to make me smile.
When I am happy, he is joy unbounded.
When I am a fool, he ignores it. When I succeed, he brags. Without him, I am only another person. With him, I am all powerful. He has taught me the meaning of devotion is loyalty itself. With him, I know the secret comfort and a private peace. He has brought me understanding where before I was ignorant. His head on my knee can heal my human hurts. His presence by my side is protection against my fears of dark and unknown things. He has promised to wait for me ... whenever ... wherever ... in case I need him, and I expect I will, as I always have.
Who is he? -- He's just -- MY DOG!

Cruisin' Paper Pack ~ Anyone Planning A Road Trip Soon?
I thought I would share a photo to give you some more ideas on what you can make with the "Cruisin" paper pack. I love how there are smaller circle shape photos on that scrapbook page. It's a cute way to show off different events. I need to find some time to start using this paper pack!

Video ~ Live Your Dreams ~ Check Out The Artwork In This Video!
I thought I would share a video that Close To My Heart put on youtube called "Live Your Dreams". They shared a really fun idea. You don't have to do it exactly the same way...but I never thought to do this. If I had more wall space I would totally do something like what they did in the video. And, with our Cricut Art Philosophy it would be so easy too! So, check out the video to see an amazing artwork idea! (Ps. The picture only shows a small piece of the artwork!)

Corner Bookmarks ~ My Son's Class Are Full Of Busy Bees!
I wanted to share today the rest of the "Busy Bee" corner bookmarks I made for my son's 1st grade class. I know I posted I would hopefully be done on Friday (a week ago) but life kind-of got in the way. But they are now all done. Yah! They really did come out cute and I think my son's classmates should enjoy the gift. At least I hope so. I used different paper on these bookmarks than the other ones I made so they would be able to have a few to pick from. Hope they like them...we shall soon find out.

Quote Book ~ Quotes To Add To Your Book ~ Thankful
I thought I would do the quotes today to add to your quote book...
~"Feeling grateful or appreciative of someone or something in your life actually attracts more of the things that you appreciate and valve into your life."
~"He is a wise man who does not grieve for the things which he has not, but rejoices for those which has."
~"Be thankful for what you have; you'll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don't have you will never, ever have enough." (Oprah Winfrey)
~"At times our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person. Each of us has cause to think with deep gratitude of those who have lighted the flame within us."
~"Blessed are those that can give without remembering and receive without forgetting."
I thought I would share some "Thankful" type quotes today. I thought it would be fitting since I received the Liebster Blog Award...and I was thankful that she wanted to give it to me. Anyway, don't forget to stop back again for more quotes next week...and I wanted to add...no idea who or where I got these quotes...I've been saving them to use for my scrapbook pages / cards. So enjoy the quotes!

I Just Received A Liebster Blog Award!
I am so exited, I just received my very first award: The Liebster Blog Award. I was nominate by France.
The origins of the Liebster Blog Award are somewhat unclear to us but the general consensus is that it originated in Germany, Liebster, meaning "favorite" or "dearest", to showcase bloggers with fewer than 200 followers. Upon receiving this award, the recipient must then pass it on to five more blogs of note.
So here are the rules when you receive the Liebster Blog Award:
** Show your thanks to the blogger who gave you the award by linking back to them. Thanks so much France! (check out her blog, it's new but already has some nice artwork on it)
**Reveal your own 5 picks (with less than 200 followers) for the award and notify them (Not so easy since I have lots that I just love to follow!)
**Post your award on your blog
**Feel proud and bask in knowing that others will be searching out your blog
**And lastly and the best rule, have fun!

1) Dawn's ~ StamptilDawn.blogspot.com
2) Patty's ~ Pssmitty.blogspot.com
3) Heather's ~ Heatherplotzke.blogspot.com
4) Colleen's ~ Sweethomedesigns.blogspot.com
5) Cindy's ~ Cindyspagesintime.blogspot.com
I hope you enjoy these blogs as much as I do! Thanks for the award France...it made my day!

Which Would You Use These Boxes For...Tea or Chocolate?
Today I am sharing the cute boxes I made over the weekend at the crop I went to. We used the "Lucy" (X7149B) paper pack and the stamp was from the stamp set "Enjoy!" (C1496). The lid comes off and you can fill it with tea bags or small chocolate squares (so they can come out at the bottom). I am planning for my children to give these as gifts to their teachers on Teacher Appreciation Week. Of course I will have them filled...planning to find out which they would like better (tea or chocolate) before we need to give them their gifts.
Ps. The picture isn't the greatest...they are much prettier in person!

Food Creations ~ Getting Ready For Layouts!
So, I promised my children I would post pictures of the pizzas they made last night for dinner. I have been taking pictures of their food creations to make some scrapbook layouts. I have almost enough pictures to do a layout or two.
Just so you know a little background...food is kind-of important in our family since my husband was a professional chef for 15 years before the children were born. He has been teaching our children to cook. They love it and he does too. Plus, I think my daughter (and maybe my son too) will end up doing something with food for their career. Anyway, I thought I would share these two pictures and I will post the layouts once they are done. But, no promises on when that will be.

Quote Book ~ A Poem To Add To Your Book ~ Easter Eggs
I thought I would do something a little different...I usually do the quotes today to add to your quote book...but I decided today to do a poem instead.
And Oh!
It's a lovely
shade of green
The prettiest Easter egg
I've ever seen!
I thought I would share this poem today since I am working on a layout...when my children were younger making Easter eggs. I needed something to put on the page and thought a poem would be great. So I found this one. Anyway, don't forget to stop back again for more quotes next week. Hope you enjoyed the poem!
I take an egg
All shiny white
And then I dip
it out of sight
All shiny white
And then I dip
it out of sight
I leave it there
Within the cup
Then after a minute
I pick it up
Within the cup
Then after a minute
I pick it up
And Oh!
It's a lovely
shade of green
The prettiest Easter egg
I've ever seen!
