It's Spring

Why is the sky so blue and clear?
Why is the robin's song so dear?
Why is the sun so warm and bright,
filling the earth with glorious light?
Why are the fields so green today?
Why do the clouds all float away?
Why does my heart with gladness sing?
Only because it's spring!

I thought I would share this poem today because it feels like spring here! And I thought everyone could use a little spring...even if it doesn't feel like it on the East Coast yet. Later Sk8r Thank You Dinosaur Card and Stamped Dino Tags

Ok, so I'm on a "Later Sk8r" (paper pack) card kick. I wanted to make a thank you card for someone who put an order in. She is planning a birthday party and bought a Cricut Collection to make banners, cupcake covers, etc. The theme for the party is Dinosaurs. I have 2 stamp sets (both are retired) with dinosaurs. I stamped a bunch of them for her to use and mailed them with the card. I thought I'd share them here with you. Can you tell...I just can't seem to get enough of this paper?!

More Birthday Cards!

I thought today I would share the other 2 cards I made at the crop. I used the same products to make these cards as the one I posted the other day. Everything is the same except on these cards I added a few green and blue Epoxy Bubbles (Z1806). I think it's pretty cool to see 3 different cards using the  same products but each one has it's own feel to it. I just love the Later Sk8R paper pack!

Looking For a Simple Birthday Card Design?

Today I thought I'd share a birthday card I made last weekend. My scrapbook buddy Dawn had a crop and made card kits. I changed my cards from what she put together...not that I didn't like her cards...but I just end up doing that. I can't seem to follow the designs put infront of me...I have to make it harder for myself. :) I actually made 3 different cards while at the crop and will post the other 2 cards next week.

I used outdoor denim and pear for the colors with a white base for the card. The stamp sets that I used were: Joyful Birthday (B1419) (I love this stamp set for making cards), Outta This World (C1523) (this set is just too adorable!), and the Later Sk8r Workshop On The Go stamp set (G1057) (if you have a boy you are totally going to want this set!). I also used Slate ink (Z2173) to make the pattern paper. The stars I did the rolling technique to make them two toned. I think the card is adorable...and if you change the colors it could be a very girly card too.

Why I am, who I am today

Through my life, you cooked for me, you made me smile cheerfully!

Valentine's Day Gift Idea ~ For My Stud Muffin!

Sharing today the gift I made my husband for Valentine's Day. He's not a big chocolate eater...so when I saw this idea on Pinterest (pinned on one of my boards). I thought it would be a cute idea that I thought he'd like. I made blueberry muffins for inside the container. And, I already gave it to him so it's ok to share with you guys.

Ps. He liked it enough that he plans to show it off to the guys at work tonight. So I guess it was a hit.

Valentine's Day Cards For My Son's School Buddies!

I thought I'd share the Valentine's Day cards my son and I made for his class. We needed 34 + 2 for his teachers. I cut red cardstock into 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 squares. After my son counted them...he decided we needed a few more for friends that aren't in his class. So once we cut up a few more we ended up with a total of 48 cards. We kept it simple since my son's in 2nd grade and he wanted to help make them. The photo shows you what each side looks like. Under the stamp side with the Happy Valentine's Day...he wrote his name using my gold metallics marker (Z1768). They were easy to make and the best part of it...besides getting to spend time together making them...was seeing how proud my son was of his artwork. He's looking forward to sharing them with his buddies on Thursday.     

How Cool Is This Idea For A Child's Room?!

I thought today I would share a really cool idea using the Claire paper pack (X7166B) and the stamp set "Girls Rock" (C1538). They also used My Creations 6x6 Canvas Displays (Z1818). (Those are the main items used...if you want a more exact list let me know and I can get it for you.) This would be just adorable in a little girl's room. Or use the idea with a more "boy" paper / theme. I bet it would be just as cool if you use the "Later Sk8r" paper pack (X7167B) and the stamp set "Fast and Furious" (D1541).

I usually do the quotes today to add to your quote book...but I decided today to do a poem.

My Valentine
