Quote Book ~ A Poem To Add To Your Book ~ A Smile

Today I'm sharing a poem for our "Quote Books".

A Smile

It costs nothing, but creates much
It enriches those who receive,
Without impoverishing those who give.
It happens in a flash and the memory of it lasts forever.
None are so rich they can get along without it
And none so poor but are richer for its benefits.
It creates happiness in the home,
Fosters good will in a business,
And is the countersign of friends.
It is rest to the weary, daylight to the discouraged,
Sunshine to the sad, and nature's best antidote for trouble.
Yet it cannot be bought, begged, borrowed, or stolen,
For it is something that is no earthly good to anybody
Till it is given away.
If someone is too tired to give you a smile,
Leave one of yours.
For, nobody needs a smile so much
As those who have none to give.

I thought I would share this poem today because it kind-of reminds me of my son...he has a new line he says all the time "Smile On". Quote Book ~ A Poem To Add To Your Book ~ A Hundred Years

Today I'm sharing a poem for our "Quote Books".

                                     A Hundred Years

A hundred years from now it will not matter what my bank account was,

the sort of house I lived in,

or the kind of car I drove.

But the world may be different,

because I was important in the life of a child.

 

I thought I would share this poem today because I just started (last week) caring for a 10 week old baby in my daycare. I like to take photos of them while they are in my care (showing them growing up while they are with me). So when they get older and go on to new adventures I can give them a mini album. I thought I would share today a picture of the small (Z4138) and medium (Z4139) organizers...since I shared a video yesterday about the large (Z1834) storage organizer. I thought today I would share a video that Close To My Heart put on youtube called "Get Organized!". I thought I would share this video because it shows you a great product CTMH sells (there are also small and medium size organizers too). Part of being crafty is being organized...it makes doing projects so much easier (and faster) if I can find what I need to make my projects. I love that everything I need is in a spot, and I can go right to it...to get right to work. It not only keeps it organized but it protects my supplies too. I love that the containers have handles so I can take them with me to a crop if I want...and I love that they all stack together and look great in my craft space. So, take a few minutes and check out the video!

I thought I'd share a "Thank You" card I made for someone who put an order in. I used the paper pack "Buzz and Bumble" (X7164B). I also used the new stamp set (which will be available August 1st in the new catalog).
