Thank You Card Ideas

I thought today I'd share the cards I made to give to my children's teachers. Both my children had a "Back To School" night this week. So, if you know me (or follow my blog or Facebook page) you know I like to send "Thank You" cards to the teachers for staying late and letting us visit their classroom.

This photo has some of the cards I made for the guy teachers...this year between the two children we have a lot of guy teachers. I kept them very simple...wasn't sure the guys would like bling. I also used a few of the cards I made with the Laughing Lola paper I shared not too long ago (I used them for the ladies). Anyway, the paper I used and the stamp sets are all retired. I try to use retired products to show you that it's good to use up supplies you have to make space for the brand new stuff. Maybe this weekend I'll make something with new products. Fun Gift Idea ~ Hip Pics Mini Album

I thought today I'd share one more fun project using the "Chalk It Up" paper pack (X7184B) that the CTMH's Art Department made. They used the My Creations Hip Pics Album (Z1956), the fun stamp set "Geek Is Chic" (D1599), the cute "Chalk It Up" Assortment stickers (Z3009) and added a little glitter paper to give the book a bit of the "Wow!" factor (they used the teal Z1991 but the paper packs come in other colors too if teal isn't your thing). I think this is an adorable gift to make someone...or to carry around to share a fun event you went to. I love little brag books!

I thought today I would share a video that Close To My Heart put on youtube (click the youtube link to see the video...not working right for me today) called "Picture My Life™ scrapbooking programs". I thought I would share this video because I am totally in love with the Picture My Life cards...it makes scrapbooking and card making super easy! I love that I can use a bunch of photos taken at different times and mix and match them (I did my daughter's photos from when she was 6 weeks to 6 months...and the PML kit pulled them all together nicely). So, take a few minutes and check out the video!

Summer's over ... it was fun
Now it's time to get things done

Do it quick and then go play
Early nights and days so full
Following those school time rules

Do your best and you will see

Your lessons written all in stone

I thought I would share this poem because my children start school today.
