Quote Book ~ A Poem To Add To Your Book ~ A Mothers Heart
Today I'm sharing a poem for our "Quote Books".
A Mothers Heart
I loved you from the very start, you stole my breath, embraced my heart. Our life together has just begun, you're a part of me little one.
As mother with child, each day I grew, my mind was filled with thoughts of you.
I'd daydream of the things we'd share, like late night feedings and teddy bears. Like first steps and skinned knees, like bedtime stories and ABC's.
I thought of things you'd want to know, like how birds fly and flowers grow. I thought of lessons I'd need to share, like standing tall and playing fair.
When I first saw your precious face, I prayed your life be touched with grace. I thanked the angels from above, and promised you un-ending love.
Each night I lay you down to sleep, I gently kiss your head and cheek. I count your little fingers and toes, I memorize your eyes and nose.
I linger at your nursery door, awed each day I love you more. Through misty eyes I dim the light, I whisper "I love you" every night.
I loved you from the very start, you stole my breath, embraced my heart. As mother and child our journeys just begun, my heart is yours **forever** my little one.
I thought I would share this poem today because I just happened to find it and thought it's just too sweet to not share it. I still have a bunch of pictures of my daughter when she was born that I need to scrapbook. This poem would look great on a scrapbook layout. Anyway, don't forget to stop back again for more quotes or poems next week. Hope you enjoy this poem! (Ps. I found this poem at scrapbook.com)

Looking For A Graduation Card Idea? Or A Bithrday Card Idea?
I thought today I'd share two cards I made...both for my daughter. The first one is for her birthday that just past. Her favorite color is pink. I decided to use a few scrap pieces I had. The bottom piece of paper is from the "Chantilly" paper pack (X7163B) and I used the stamp set "Joyful Birthday" (B1419). This stamp set is one of my favorites right now. The other items are retired items.
The other card I made for her is a graduation card since she will be going into Middle School. This card I haven't given her yet but thought I'd share both cards with you now. This way if you need an idea with all the graduations coming soon you'll have it. This card was from a kit I bought from my scrapbook buddy, Dawn Heuft. She walked us through how to make the card and fixed my tassel since I couldn't make it right. I used pink since it's my daughters favorite color but if you make this card you could use the school's colors. The stamp set we used for this card is "Congrats Graduate" (A1139). This stamp set is really a cute set...if you need to make graduation cards you'll want to get this set.

Looking For A Way To Help The Tornado Victims In Oklahoma?
I thought I'd share a special that CTMH put together to help the tornado victims in Oklahoma. This is just one of the many reasons I love Close To My Heart! They made a stamp set called "A True Thank You" (M1029) for just $2.95. They planned for it to be in our next catalog. Well, they decided to move up the date for us to start purchasing it now...and until June 30th CTMH will donate 100% of the profits to the American Red Cross to aid the tornado victims in Oklahoma! This company is always so thoughtful and tries to help whenever something comes up that could use help. So go HERE to purchase your stamp (these would make nice gifts to give out to others too...so purchase more than 1!) and CTMH will send the donation in.

Quote Book ~ A Poem To Add To Your Book ~ Circle of Strength
Today I'm sharing a poem for our "Quote Books".
Circle of Strength
Circle of Strength
Our family
is a circle of
strength and love.
With every birth
and every union
the circle grows.
Every joy shared
adds more love.
Every crisis faced
together makes the
circle stronger.
I thought I would share this poem today for 2 reasons...one reason is because of all that is going on in Ok...it just seemed fitting. The other reason is it would make a great poem with a few family pictures to make a wall hanging. Anyway, don't forget to stop back again for more quotes or poems next week. Hope you enjoy this poem! (Ps. I found this poem at scrapbook.com)

Anniversary Card Idea ~ Using For Always Paper Pack
I thought today I'd share the card I made hubby for our 17th Anniversary. I bought a card kit from my scrapbook buddy, Dawn Heuft. I changed it up a little and changed the words to fit the theme that I needed. The background paper came from the "For Always" (X7165B) paper pack. The white piece of paper was cut on the Cricut "Art Philosophy" Cartridge (Z1686) and then stamped with "Frame Flair" (D1546) and "The Happy Couple" (D1539). I don't remember which set the cute little hearts came from. But I know we have a bunch of sets with hearts so if you're planning on making this card you should be fine. I used the ribbon that came with the kit but could have used our "Black Shimmer Trim" (Z1809) just as easily. I like the way the card came out.

Quote Book ~ A Poem To Add To Your Book ~ Dad
Today I'm sharing a poem for our "Quote Books".
Dad
Dad
A Dad is a person who is loving and kind, and often he knows what you have on your mind. He's someone who listens, suggests, and defends. A Dad can be one of your very best friends! He's proud of your triumphs, but when things go wrong, A Dad can be patient and helpful and strong in all that you do, a Dad's love plays a part. There's always a place for him deep in your heart. And each year that passes, you're even more glad, more grateful and proud just to call him your Dad! Thank you, Dad... for listening and caring, for giving and sharing, but, especially, for just being you!
I thought I would share this poem today because Father's Day is right around the corner. I figured we'll all be working on cards and gifts so this poem might come in handy. Anyway, don't forget to stop back again for more quotes or poems next week. Hope you enjoy this poem! (Ps. I've had it in my "Quote Book" for a while and don't know where I got it from.)

A Spring Birthday Gift Idea ~ I Love Sunflowers!
I thought I'd share with you the gift I made for a scrapbook buddy. It was her birthday at the end of April but I didn't see her until this past weekend. It was just a little something to let her know I was thinking of her. She's always so sunny so when I saw this (a yellow plant pot and a sunflower grow kit) I thought of her. I tried to make the tag for the front of the pot and on the card look sort-of like sunflowers.
I used the SOTM from April for the plant pot tag and I also used "Perfect Fit- Birthday" (B1417) for the birthday saying in the middle. I stamped it on a piece of paper from the "Tommy" paper pack (X7169B). For the card I used "Buzz and Bumble" paper pack (X7164B). The chipboard came from the "Artiste" Cricut collection (Z1790). I like the way it came out...simple but cute.

Pretty Wedding Card
I thought today I'd share a card I made for a scrapbook buddy that got married at the end of April. I wanted to put something together that would be a little different than the usual wedding card. I think it came out cute. I used "Chantilly" paper (X7163B), 2 retired stamp sets, and my favorite stuff...black shimmer trim (Z1809). The 2nd photo is what I stamped on the inside of the card. Hopefully she already received the card (or doesn't see this post) since I mailed it a few days ago.

Quote Book ~ A Poem To Add To Your Book ~ MOTHER
Today I'm sharing a poem for our "Quote Books".
M-O-T-H-E-R
M is for the Moments she wiped away my tears
O is the Opportunity she gave me through the years
T is for her Thoughtfulness in everything she does
H reminds me of her Heart that's always filled with love
E is the Encouragement that is given out for free
R is for Reliable - she's always there for me
I thought I would share this poem today since Mother's Day is right around the corner. I thought it would look cute made into something fun to hang on the wall. I won't have time to use it this year (I thought you might) but now I'll be ready for next year. Anyway, don't forget to stop back again for more quotes or poems next week. Hope you enjoy this poem! (Ps. I found this poem at scrapbook.com)

A Few Welcome Baby Cards and A Gift
I thought today I'd share a gift I made and a few cards...one of my daycare families just had a baby a few days ago (he's so tiny and adorable). So I put together a card and a gift. My daughter and I made cute t-shirts (which I forgot to take photos of...but one said "Big Sister" and the other said "Little Brother") and I also bought a picture frame, which I stamped a cute saying for the middle spot and left the other 2 spots for photos. I think everything came out cute (of course not as cute as the little guy...but you can't beat a baby for cuteness). I also made a card for someone I know who just had a Grandbaby born. For the cards I used the "Later Sk8r" paper pack (X7167B), outdoor denim ink (Z2140), and a retired stamp set.
Ps. I love that the card is the same but looks totally different using different paper (all from the same paper pack).

Teacher Appreciation Week ~ Need A Few Ideas?
I thought today I'd share the gifts I made for my children's teachers for Teacher Appreciation week. I needed to make 4 gifts. I made covers to cover small notepads (note pads were included but I didn't take a picture of them). Two of them I used the new "Dream Pop" paper pack (May's special if you want to order this paper pack...it's only available during the month of May!) and the other two I used retired paper. Those 2 gifts are for guy teachers. One guy loves to surf and the other is really into super heros. I think they came out cute! I just like for my children to let their teachers know they are appreciated...because they really are!

Quote Book ~ A Poem To Add To Your Book ~ The Beauty Of A Woman
Today I'm sharing a poem for our "Quote Books".
The Beauty Of A Woman
The beauty of a woman Is not in the clothes she wears,
The figure that she carries, Or the way she combs her hair.
The beauty of a woman must be seen from in her eyes,
Because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides.
The beauty of a woman is not in a facial mole,
But true beauty in a woman Is reflected in her soul.
It is the caring that she lovingly gives,
The passion that she shows,
And the beauty of a woman
With passing years only grows.
I thought I would share this poem today because my daughter is almost done elementary school and will be starting middle school in a few months. It has me realizing how grown up she is becoming. She just brought home a school picture that I think would look lovely with this poem. Anyway, don't forget to stop back again for more quotes or poems next week. Hope you enjoy this poem! (Ps. I found this poem at scrapbook.com)
