Quote Book ~ Quotes To Add To Your Book ~ Dr. Seuss

I thought I would do the quotes today to add to your quote book...

~"A person's a person, no matter how small."

~"From there to here, and here to there, funny things are everywhere."

~"Sometimes the questions are complicated and the answers are simple."

~"Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It's not."

~"Oh, the things you can find if you don't stay behind!"

I thought I would share some "Dr. Seuss" quotes today. I thought we could use some fun in our life today. Anyway, don't forget to stop back again for more quotes next week...and I wanted to add...no idea who or where I got these quotes...I've been saving them to use for my scrapbook pages / cards. So enjoy the quotes!

Scrapbooking Tool Tips ~ Need A Few Good Tips?

I thought today I would share a few tips. I've collected the tips over the years...whenever I find one that sounds good I put it in a notebook to use when needed. I haven't tried them all out but thought I'd post a few...incase someone needs to use the tips. So, if you've tried the tip and it works (or it's not so good) let us know here!

~If the blades to your scissors or punches are sticky use an adhesive remover. I've used our "Rub & Remove Eraser" (Z1207) on my "Micro-Tip Scissors" (Z534) a few times and it works great. Infact, I did it this past weekend at the crop I went to.

~ If your punch seems dull try punching through aluminum foil. (This one I haven't had to try yet.)

~If your punch seems like it needs to be sharpened try punching a very fine grade of sandpaper (both directions). (Also haven't tried this one yet.)

~Use a lint roller (the masking tape kind) to pick up really small pieces of paper or glitter. Great for easy clean up.

Ok, so that's all the tips for today...do you have any to share? I think I'll do this tip sharing post again with more tips after I get back from my vacation...so look for more later this month.

Look At This Super Cute Mini "Superhero" Album I Made!

I went to a scrapbooking crop during the weekend and made this cute mini album (using the "Superhero" paper). It came out really cute! Dawn Heuft put together the kit and I brought photos with me so I could get it all finished...since I am going to give it to hubby for his birthday (which is in a few days). I still need to put some holes into it for the rings and I think a few ribbons on the rings (not too many since it's for hubby and he won't like too many ribbons on it). I changed the kit up some to fit the photos I brought. I think it came out super cute and I think hubby is going to love it!

Ps. I covered the faces but you can see enough of the pictures to get the idea. The 1st picture is the front page and the end page. The middle photo is the next two pages and the last photo shows the next two pages.

Superhero Paper Pack ~ Check Out The Super Amazing Mini Album!

I thought I would share a photo to give you another idea on what you can make with the "Superhero" paper pack. I just love this mini album! It would make a great gift for the super hero in your life. I am planning on making a different mini album over the weekend...if I get it done I'll post it on Monday. I also plan to do a scrapbook layout with this paper pack...my son was Dash for Halloween and I thought using this paper pack would make a great layout. I'll post that too once it's done. This is just such a fun paper pack! I can't wait to play with it! What do you think?

Quote Book ~ A Poem To Add To Your Book ~ A Book

I usually do the quotes today to add to your quote book...but I decided today to do a poem instead.

A Book

By: Adelaide Love

A book, I think, is very like
A little golden door
That takes me into places
Where I've never been before.
It leads me into fairyland
Or countries strange and far
And, best of all, the golden door
Always stands ajar.

I thought I would share a poem today about books. My son received an award today at school for reading. They need to read / have someone read to them at least 160 books during the school year (he is in 1st grade). Well, he did it...and received the award. I have many reading awards between my two children...figured a poem about books would be nice on my layouts. Anyway, don't forget to stop back again for more quotes next week. Hope you enjoyed the poem!

Ps. There was a mix-up and my daughter didn't get the flier but got her award too. So proud of both my children!

Would You Like To Have No More Ribbon Worries?

I thought today I would share a really amazing product Close To My Heart sells...it's called "Color-Ready" Seam Binding Ribbon (Z1732). The reason I think it's so amazing is you can leave it the way it is and have white ribbon on you project...or you can color it with any of our inks (let it dry) and you can change the ribbon's color to fit any paper pack you're working on. How cool is that?! I love that I don't have to worry about having ribbons for all 60 of CTMH's inks. This ribbon can always match my project! I now have no more ribbon worries. LOVE IT!!
