Thank You Cards Using The "Dream Pop" Paper Pack ~ May's Special

Over the weekend I was able to put together 2 Thank You cards I needed. I used the new (sneak peek) paper pack that is going to be May's special "Dream Pop". I thought I would share this poem today because tomorrow my daughter is getting an award at school. I thought since this is her last year at the school it would be cute to do a scrapbook layout or two of her getting her awards each year (K-6). Pre-Teen / Teen Party Idea ~ Scrapbook Party Idea!

I thought today I would share a cute idea using the Buzz and Bumble paper pack. It would make a nice gift to give someone. You could change the title to fit just about any theme. Or you could use this idea if you're planning a pre-teen / teen party. The kids could make this page and put a picture of themselves with the birthday person in the layout to remember the day. Throw in some pizza and a cake and your party's planned!

Sharing Another Cute Thank You Card!

I thought I'd share a card I made. I bought a card kit from my scrapbook buddy Dawn...and changed it up a little bit. I also changed it to a be a Thank You card since I had an order go in and wanted to thank the person with a card and small gift. (Ps. the person this card is for is a Pet Sitter so I always try to use an animal stamp set) I think it came out cute.

Spring Garden

Jack Frost has upped and gone away,
To his icy summer home.
He stays there whilst the sun is warm,
Its not safe for him to roam.

Now he's left the earth warms up,
And flowers start to grow.
Peeking through the heating soil,
Growing quickly for a show.

Crocuses and Daffodills,
Green shoots poke through the ground.
And with each day as spring returns,

Need Some Fun Birthday Party Ideas? These Are Super Cute!

I thought today I'd share this cute picture of artwork that CTMH made (you can also find it in the catalog on page 95). They used the Cricut "Artiste" Collection (Z1790) to make most of the items. Most of paper that was used was different colors of cardstock (except the monster's belly ~ it's from the Chantilly paper pack X7163B). The stamp sets used are: Perfect Fit- Frames 2 (D1536), Perfect Fit- Birthday (B1417), and Joyful Birthday (B1419). I thought it was just so cute! There are lots of birthday parties getting planned and thought this might give you a few ideas.

Need A Get Well Card Idea?

I needed to make a Get Well card to send to someone and thought I'd share it with you today. I used the "Clementine" paper pack (X7156B) and the stamp set "Cozy Cat" (A1140). I filled in the stamp set with a little color with CTMH's markers. The catalog gives me the colors that are in the pack so I know right away which markers to use. (I went with a lighter blue than the one in the pack...I thought the pillow would be too dark on the card otherwise) Hopefully the person I sent this card to will like it. I thought it came out cute.

Today I'm sharing a poem for our "Quote Books".

Hints of Spring

First day of spring, not soon enough for me
Sweet scent of freshness, could make one's soul sing
The barren trees shine in many of bloom
As patches of green grass, begin to renew
Our small feathered friends, arrive with sweet song
Building nests for the wee ones, coming along
Bluish-gray skies, spread far and wide
As gentle winds whisper, of on-coming showers
A hint of sunshine, warmed the air
As lingering clouds about, filled the skies above
Spring is sometimes tricky, as most of us know
One day is warm, another one it's cold
Even some snow, can find a way in
But leaves in a hurry, as a warm-up sets in
Spring showers comes along, to many for some
But Mother Nature will change, this season in time
The farmers fields will come alive
And gardens and flowerbeds, will begin to color and thrive
New birth, new life
A welcoming change, these hints of spring.

Need A Few Thank You Card Ideas?

I thought today I'd share a few "Thank You" cards I made for people who put orders in with me. On the top card I used the paper pack "Dakota" (X7157B). I used the stamp set "A Friend Like You" (B1410) and a few of the new "Artisan Studs" (Z1816).  

The second card I used the paper pack "Chantilly" (X7163B) and 2 different stamp sets. I used "Card Word Puzzle" (C1494) for the "Thank You" and I used "Distressed Backgrounds" (D1544) to make a design on the buttercup paper. It's hard to see in the photo but it gives the card a more finished look. There was also some black paper added to really have the Chantilly paper pop...and a strip of pear paper to brighten it up. (This card started from a kit I bought from my scrapbook buddy Dawn Heuft but I totally changed it...I wanted a simpler card that could be mailed.) Which card to you like better?
