National Cookie Day!

Incase you didn't know...today is National Cookie Day! Now, that's my kind of day!! So, after you check out my recipe...and my blog...then you'll need go over to "Burnt Food Dude" to see the Cookie Day Blog Roll...where other blogs are going to list their favorite cookie recipes too. Then you need to get a can and decorate it to make it really cute...it would make a great gift for someone special for the holidays! So, go check out all the cookie recipes you can make...to get some great ideas...then get decorating! I just LOVE cookies! Don't you?!  

Mint Chocolate Chip Cookies 
Makes: 36 cookies / Takes approx. 40 mins.
**What you'll need**
1 pouch Betty Crocker sugar cookie mix, 1/2 cup butter or margarine softened, 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon mint extract, 6 to 8 drops green food color, 1 egg, 1 cup creme de menthe baking chips, and 1 cup semisweet chocolate chunks
~Mix everything together, drop dough 2" apart on ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes. Cool for 3 minutes; remove from cookie sheet to wire rack. Serve warm (yummy!) or cool completely (if you're planning to put them in the decorated can!)
